A Message from the President
to the prospective new members of OACCPP
Dear Colleague:
Thank you for your interest in joining the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. We are a self-regulating professional association which was formed in 1978 to represent mental health practitioners and providers in the general areas of psychotherapy, psycho-educational assessment, counselling and consulting.
The goals of OACCPP are (a) to ensure the availability of competent mental health services and the accessibility to these services by the general public; (b) to represent the professional interests of its membership both individually and collectively; (c) to promote professional standards of ethical conduct; (d) to provide a process for recognition and certification in specialty areas of demonstrable competency; and (e) to identify and address mental health issues on behalf of the membership to Government and the public.
