![]() Penny Kawasaki, M.A. Ed., (C) OACCPPPenny Kawasaki graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a Master's degree in Applied Psychology and Education, from the University of Toronto. She worked as a psychoeducational consultant with three school boards in Ontario for 20 years, prior to 10 years employment as a counselor and disability specialist at a large community college in Ottawa. Currently, she is in private practice in the Eastern Ontario region (primarily Ottawa), where she specializes in the assessment of learning and behavioural problems, including Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. She provides assessment, consulting and counseling services to children, adolescents and adults. Over the years, Penny has presented at several professional conferences at the provincial, national and international level, as well as written articles for various educational publications. She has sat on provincial advisory boards, including CH.A.D.D. (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) of the National Capital Region, as well as consulted in China, as part of the first Canadian delegation, through the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada. She represented colleges and universities on other initiatives with L.D.A.C., as well as sat on a committee with the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario, for their (P.E.I.) project, Promoting Early Intervention.
