Henry GulabhHenry Gulabh is an experienced and well-regarded therapist with a Master’s Degree from McMaster University. He has been trained in the field of Addictions through his 11 years as an Addictions Counsellor at the McMaster Addictions Alcohol Treatment Centre (now defunct).

He is certified in the Addictions field and has acquired extensive training in providing therapy services through the Psychoanalytic, Cognitive, and Solution-focused approaches.

He uses an integrated and holistic approach to helping clients in learning new strategies in the process of effecting healthy and meaningful change. He advocates healthy eating, a balanced diet and nutritional and exercise regimes.

His forte and strength, beyond addictions, is also on issues such as Stress and Anxiety Management, Mindfulness, ADHD, Coping with Depression, Conflict-Resolution, Assertiveness Communication and Training, Self-Esteem, Anti-Violence and Anger-Management, and Grief and Loss.

He has conducted the mandated Men’s Anti-Violence PAR program both at the Provincial and Federal levels.

He has taught Assertiveness Training at Mohawk College for over 5 years and currently is on the Faculty of Continuing Education at McMaster University teaching a certification course in the Addictions Field.

He currently is contracted to conduct addictions assessments and relapse prevention counselling and provides client services on behalf of a number of EAP providers in both Hamilton and Oakville. He has been contracted to provide mediation consultation to a number of Corporate clients that have included  Dofasco (now Accelor Mital Steel), Stelco (now US Steel Canada), City and Region of Hamilton, Ontario Hydro (now Ontario Power Generation), Cami Automotive, Royal Sun Life, Campbell Soup Company, Johnson and Johnson and Local Area Physicians.

With his memberships in several professional bodies that are governed by a strict Code of Ethics and Conduct, Henry understands and abides by the commitment to maintain professional and quality standards in his practice.
