Eileen Ormond is a Certified Psychotherapist with the O.A.C.C.P.P. who specializes in Grief Therapy with children, adolescents, individuals and families. She has been practicing for over twenty years and utilizes a wide range of approaches, including cognitive, behavioural, mindfulness, narrative and expressive arts, women’s empowerment, solution focused and grief therapy techniques.
Eileen received her M.A. in Religion and Culture from Wilfrid Laurier University and completed two years of clinical training at Interfaith Counselling Centre. Her Master’s thesis was entitled, “Feminist Ritual: Healing, Transformation and Empowerment.” She worked as a Child and Family Therapist at Notre Dame of St. Agatha Children’s Mental Health Centre, where she co-founded, “The Grief Support Program for Children and Adolescents.”
Eileen is the director of New Dawn Counselling which is located in Port Credit, Ontario. She is a certified Critical Incident Stress Debriefer and a trauma counsellor and is covered by some insurance plans. Eileen is a preferred affiliate with Ceridian Lifeworks, an Employee Assistance Program.
